RESTORATIVE / PREVENTATIVE

No temporary crown needed!

Most dental restorative methods require more than one visit to the dentist.
This means that on the first visit, you get an injection of anesthesia, your tooth prepared, an impression taken, and a temporary restoration put on your tooth. TREATMENT OF GINGIVITIS AND PERIODONTITIS

Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is a form of inflammation and infection that occurs in the mouth. Gingivitis, an early phase of gum disease and the easiest to treat — is an inflammation of the gums caused by the accumulation of plaque, a soft, sticky, colorless film of bacteria above the gumline.

Plaque provides a shelter for bacteria and other microorganisms to grow. If not routinely removed by proper brushing and flossing, plaque can build up on teeth and gums and lead to gingivitis. Fortunately, gingivitis can be treated, which can help prevent it from developing into periodontitis, a more serious and damaging stage of gum disease. Gingivitis can usually be treated simply. Plaque and tartar are removed from teeth, depriving bacteria of their home. The inflamed tissues around a tooth usually heal quickly and completely. More serious cases of periodontitis cannot be treated by routine dental procedures. Dental surgery may be necessary to remove plaque, tartar, and infected gum tissue. Treatment with antibiotics may be necessary if infection is present.

IMPLANT DENTISTRY

Implants are a popular option for replacing lost teeth. They are also used as an alternative to bridges, partials or dentures. With their natural appearance, comfort and attractiveness, you’ll soon be on your way to a more confident smile.

ROOT CANALS

Root canal therapy is a common procedure for saving damaged or diseased teeth when infection is considered likely.  To cure infection and save the tooth, it is necessary to access the infected pulp.  Once this is completed, the chamber is filled with inert material which seals the opening.  If enough of the tooth has been damaged by decay, a crown may be required.

DENTURES

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available—complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
